Terrence J. “Mick” Grasmick

Mick Grasmick has served on the Board of CTBC Bank (USA) since July 2017. He is a member of the Board Audit Committee, and the Board Corporate Governance Committee.
Mr. Grasmick is a retired banking attorney with four decades of experience in advisory and transaction engagements.
Throughout his career, Mr. Grasmick focused on bank supervision, examination and enforcement, mergers and acquisitions, private equity bank investments, bank formation and expansion, and bank holding companies as well as general banking corporate matters and regulatory and legislative developments. His articles frequently appeared in trade publications including Law360, Bloomberg BNA, the ABA Journal and the American Banker.
Mr. Grasmick was a Partner at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips from 1999 to 2016 and of Lillick, McHose & Charles/Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro from 1976 to 1999, during which he worked with boards of directors, sellers, acquirers, executive management and parent company owners of banks in California and foreign banks and foreign investors.
Mr. Grasmick has been a frequent speaker on bank powers and examination and enforcement actions, bank mergers and acquisitions, applications and change in control notices as well as other legislative developments at banking association and banking agency events, including the California Bankers Association, the International Bankers Association in California, and the Federal Reserve Application Office.
Mr. Grasmick was recognized from 2004 to 2016 in the “Best Lawyers in America,” an annual list of leading attorneys based on a rigorous national peer-review study. Mr. Grasmick holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska and a law degree from the University of Michigan.
